About

Marianne Wilson

Marianne first developed an interest in iconography when she was asked to paint a Paschal candle for her local church. In the last thirty years Marianne has become increasingly immersed in the history and techniques of iconography. She has completed several works for Catholic churches in England and is currently working on a piece for the Cathedral in Obuja, Nigeria. Marianne uses traditional methods and symbolism in her work. She views her painting as an important part of her faith and she loves teaching others.
